Gadar 2: Day 1 Box Office Results Sunny Deol’s Movie Becomes 2023’s Second-Highest Opening Film After Pathaan

Gadar 2, a sequel to the popular 2001 film “Gadar: Ek Prem Katha,” starring Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel, had the second-highest opening weekend of 2023 behind Shah Rukh Khan’s “Pathaan.

“In terms of its box office take, it appears that Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel’s “Gadar 2” will repeat history. Following Shah Rukh Khan’s “Pathaan,” the movie, a sequel to the 2001 hit “Gadar: Ek Prem Katha,” had the second-highest opening weekend of 2023. The movie is anticipated to earn Rs 35 crore on opening day, coming in second after “Pathaan,” which had a mammoth opening of 57 crores.

Gadar 2 is followed in the list of Hindi films by Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan (15.81 crore), Tu Jhooti Main Makkaar (15.73 crore), Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani (11.10 crore) and Bholaa (11.20 crore) in terms of opening day receipts.Trade expert Taran Adarsh tweeted that the movie had sold 2,74,000 advance tickets in national chains hours before it was released.
