Honda Elevate SUV New Buzz in Automobile Industry:

Ahead of its launch in September 2023, Honda has disclosed the forthcoming Elevate SUVs fuel economy specifications. When the Elevate starts to arrive at dealerships in mid-August, test drives will start. One of Honda’s most crucial items for India is the Elevate, which will be a competitor in the very competitive midsize SUV market.

Honda claims to have given the Elevate homologation in India. The SUV has two different power plant options, both of which are also available for the City sedan. The base powertrain consists of a 1.5-liter gasoline engine with 121 horsepower and 145 nm coupled to a 6-speed manual gearbox.One other option for this engine is the 7-step CVT automatic transmission. Honda will launch a BEV based on the Elevate instead of a petrol-hybrid powertrain for the Elevate. 

Honda has disclosed the SUV’s fuel economy statistics. With a manual transmission, the Elevate achieves 15.31 kpl while a CVT achieves 16.92 kpl. The manual version of the car could travel up to 612 km (km) on a full tank of fuel with a 40-litre tank, while the automatic version could go up to 679 km (km). Expect the range to differ greatly from these figures. 

Information on the size and variations of the Honda Elevate: 

The Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos are around the same size as the Elevate, which has a wheelbase of 2,650mm with dimensions of 4,312mm long, 1,790mm wide, and 1,650mm high. Additionally, it has 220mm of segment-leading ground clearance. 

The Elevate comes in four trim levels: SV, V, VX, and ZX. Dual front airbags, automatic climate control, LED projector headlights, and 16-inch steel wheels are all standard on the SV variant.

The best-spec Eight speakers, a soft-touch dashboard, a 10.25-inch touchscreen, six airbags, the Honda Sensing ADAS suite, leatherette brown upholstery, and an auto-dimming interior day/night mirror are all included with the Elevate ZX. Only this trim is offered with a few dual-tone exterior paint colour options in addition to the exterior paint shade Phoenix Orange as standard. 

Honda Elevate anticipated cost and competitors :

According to dealer sources, the Elevate will cost about Rs 1 lakh to Rs 1.5 lakh more than the comparable City model. The highest variant is estimated to cost around Rs. 19 lakh (ex-showroom), with the beginning price hovering around Rs. 11 lakh. The Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, the Hyundai Creta, the recently introduced Kia Seltos facelift, which adds more equipment and a diesel engine option, the Toyota Hyryder, which also provides

 petrol-hybrid powertrain options, the Skoda Kushaq, and the Volkswagen Taigun SUVs will all be fierce competitors for the Elevate at this price.
