The A38 quietly debuted in the UAE. Oppo’s latest smartphone has been listed on the company’s UAE website, revealing its design, colour options and detailed specifications. The phone has a 6.56-inch HD LCD screen with a  refresh rate of 90 Hz and a peak brightness of 720 nits. Oppo’s new phone, which comes in  single storage, is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio G85 chipset paired with up to 4GB of RAM and 128GB of inbuilt storage. Phone comes with a dual rear camera.  

 Oppo A38 price 

The A38 has been listed on the Oppo UAE website, but the phone’s price and on-sale date are yet to be announced. However, a recent report suggested that the smartphone could be priced around €159 (almost Rs 14,200) for the 4GB RAM 128GB storage variant. The phones are expected to debut soon in Europe as well as in India and other Asian markets. Meanwhile, the phone is available in two colour options namely Glowing Black and Glowing Gold. 

Oppo A38 Specifications, Features 

The dual SIM Oppo A38 comes pre-loaded with ColorOS 13.1. It has a 6.56-inch HD (1612 x 720 pixels) LCD screen with a  refresh rate of 90 Hz and a maximum brightness of up to 720 nits. It has an octa-core MediaTek Helio G85 SoC paired with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of inbuilt storage. The phone also supports RAM expansion technology that provides additional virtual RAM  up to 4GB. As far as storages are concerned it can be expanded up to 1 TB. 

For optics, the smartphone has two rear cameras placed on two circular camera islands on its rear panel.  a 2-megapixel bokeh camera is used in conjunction with a 50-megapixel AI main sensor. For selfies and video calls, the phone has a 5-megapixel front-facing camera housed in a water drop-style notch at the top centre of the screen. A 5000mAh battery inside of it allows 33W SUPERVOOC charging.  

Connectivity options on the Oppo A38 include Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac), 802.11a/b/g/n/, Bluetooth 5.3, a USB Type-C port and a 3.5mm audio jack. Additionally, the phone supports  fingerprint sensor and face recognition for biometric authentication,  ambient light sensor, accelerometer, proximity sensor and  geomagnetic sensor.  Oppo A38 measures 163.74 x 75.03 x 8.16 mm  and weighs 190 g.
