Royal Enfield Himalayan 450: Images leaked ahead of launch

Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 : Chennai-based motorcycle manufacturing giant Royal Enfield has just released its first and all-new teaser for its upcoming adventure motorcycle Himalayan 450. The maiden ride of the new bike will take place in late October or early November, according to the company’s teaser, which included the Manali location’s coordinates. Further developments on this upcoming bike have revealed some fully unmasked images of the Himalayan 450 which share all the major design differences between the outgoing and the upcoming new model. 

The first thing that stands out from the recently released photographs is that Royal Enfield has made various improvements to this new Himalayan 450, despite the fact that the overall style may appear to be similar at first glance.Starting from the front, it can be identified. that the new Himalayan 450 will get a minor update. With this update, there is a completely new design for the high-mounted fender at the front. In addition, the USD front fork suspension has been upgraded and now seems distinct from the previous design. 

In addition, the design of the windshield seems to be different from the current model. The headlamp, as seen, is similar to the outgoing model’s circular unit, but  is most likely  an LED unit, bringing the Himalayan 450 up to today’s standards. Another notable difference that can be noticed is that the company has updated the tubular exoskeleton; it now looks a bit different than the outgoing model. Also, with this new bike, its fuel tank is completely different. The redesigned fuel tank appears to be slightly larger than the slim and sleek fuel tank of the current model. 

The forthcoming Himalayan 450 will have a brand-new digital instrument cluster, according to earlier spy photos, however it is not totally obvious from these images. This new cluster has a completely new user interface and is equipped with many new features aimed at improving the driving experience. Another new addition to the Himalayan 450 is the instrument cluster. The company plans to check the handlebars and handlebars of this upcoming bike. 

Moving to the centre of the future bike, it can be noted that the motorcycle has a completely new design for the split seating arrangement, with the front  of the seat extending slightly further into the fuel tank. Additionally, you can also notice that the frame of the bike has been completely redesigned, with the large Himalayan engraved sheet metal replaced with a more subtle looking detail finished in the same colour as the frame. 

The new monoshock suspension can be seen in the middle of the wheel under the driver. A little further down, you can also see the all-new exhaust design. Finally, the rear seat has been completely redesigned and now features new mounting points and a tubular exoskeleton that was missing from the previous generation model. 

One of the major changes that will be incorporated in this new Himalayan 450 engine is a brand new liquid cooled engine. This engine is the brand’s first liquid-cooled engine and is said to  be an all-new 450cc single-cylinder engine. According to reports, this new engine is likely to produce around 40 PS of power and 45 Nm of torque. As for the gearbox, it is likely to be a six-speed unit.  As it is written in the introduction, the bike maker will launch the all-new Himalayan 450 from October 30 to November 1. Meanwhile, on the price side, it is likely to be  around Rs. 2.6 lakh (ex-show).The new Himalayan 450, which was introduced in India, competes with models like the BMW G310 GS, KTM 390 Adventure X, and the future Bajaj/Triumph Scrambler 400X.
