Gill, 24, missed the first two matches against Australia and Afghanistan due to illness, with Ishan Kishan deputising for the opener. KL Rahul was selected as the first choice. 

According to Dainik Jagran’s report, the right-handed batsman will bat for an hour today and it is quite clear from the picture  that he is doing everything to be fit  for the big clash.  Kishan got off to a terrible start against Australia in the opening match of the World Cup when he was given the first ball. In the next match against Afghanistan, he scored a decent 47, narrowly missing his half-century.  

India have already won two of their first two matches in the ongoing World Cup and a win against old rivals Pakistan on Saturday would give them a lot of confidence going into the final matches of the series. The top 4 teams will advance to the semi-finals starting in November. 

The positive signs for India are that captain Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and KL Rahul are in good touch and everyone is strongly backing them in the big clash. On the other hand, Kuldeep Yadav and Ravindra Jadeja’s Spinners will do their part as the Men in Blue go into the match with an even side. 

Meanwhile, India will have to look at the threat that in-form batsmen Muhammad Rizwan and Abdullah Shafique could pose on Saturday.
