The producers of Vijay, Trisha and Sanjay Dutt starrer Leo announced that the audio launch of the film has been cancelled, leaving Thalapathy fans very disappointed. The makers revealed that the event was cancelled due to security restrictions and an influx of passport applications.
Seven Screen Studio shared the following on X, formerly known as Twitter: “Due to the overwhelming number of passport applications and security restrictions, we have decided not to hold the Leo Audio Launch event. We will inform you of updates as requested by fans. . P.S. It is not due to political pressure or other reasons as many imagine.
This comes days after AR Rahman’s Chennai concert received heavy criticism online as fans complained of overcrowding and a panic-like situation at the Paniyur hall.
Vijay’s movie Leo has created a huge buzz since its release. While the film is slated to hit theatres in October, according to a recent report, Vijay has already eyed director Lokesh Kanagaraj. Lion is an action thriller also starring Trisha Krishnan and Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt.
Thalapathy Vijay reportedly watched Vijay Leo at a special screening in Chennai recently, reports Tamil YouTube channel Valai Pechu as quoted by Pinkvilla. While the post-production and re-recording work of the film is still going on, Vijay has stated that he wants to watch the film after dubbing his parts, according to the report.
According to the report, Thalapathy Vijay was “very impressed” with Leo. The actor probably watched the film one more time with his family after the final cut was made. However, Leo’s makers have not confirmed the news.
