UGC NET : NET determines the eligibility of Indian nationals for assistant professor and Junior Research Fellowship and assistant professor posts in Indian universities and colleges.
UGC NET December Registration:
National Eligibility Test (NET) is an important exam in India. The competitive examination determines the eligibility of Indian nationals for the positions of “Assistant Professor” and “Junior Research Fellowship and Assistant Professor” in Indian Universities and Colleges. UGC NET exams are usually conducted twice a year, in June and December. The National Testing Agency (NTA) usually announces the registration dates for these sessions a few months before the exam date. Currently, NTA has not announced the UGC NET registration date and time in December 2023.
According to media reports, NTA is expected to release the NET application form in September. However, there is no official announcement about it. Once the registration portal opens, candidates can fill the application form on the official website https://ugcnet.nta.nic.in/

December Registration: How to Fill an Application Form?
Here’s how you can register for NET (University Grants National Quality Test)
• Go to the official website of National Testing Agency (NTA) at https://ugcnet.nta.nic.in/.
• A link to “Publish online” can be found on the homepage. Start the registration procedure by clicking on this link.
• Register on the portal and log in again with the username and password you created for your account.
• Click “Fill out the application form”. You will need to provide basic information such as your name, date of birth, email address, mobile phone number and other personal information. Fill the application form with all required information including education, exam subject, category and other relevant information.
• You are requested to upload scanned copies of the latest passport size photograph and signature in prescribed format and size.
•Pay the application fee. Submit the form and download a copy for future reference.
UGC NET December Paper Pattern
According to last year’s announcement, the exam consists of two papers. Both exam papers of NET consist of multiple choice questions. There are no breaks between papers.
UGC NET Test Subject and Syllabus
The list of subjects and their codes for the NET June 2023 program is given in Annexure -III. Syllabus of all NET subjects can be downloaded from UGC website: https://www.ugcnetonline.in/syllabus-new.php. The N.T.A will not provide a copy of the syllabus to any applicant.
