Nitesh Tiwari’s upcoming film Ramayana: Part One is attracting strong interest ahead of its release, with advance ticket sales reportedly crossing ₹100 crore worldwide. The film, which features Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama, is scheduled to arrive in theatres on November 5, 2026.
The pre-release numbers indicate that audiences are showing considerable interest in the big-screen adaptation of the Ramayana. According to trade estimates reported by Sacnilk, the film has received a positive response in both domestic and international markets.
In India, advance bookings for the first three days have reportedly generated more than ₹58 crore in gross collections, excluding blocked seats. With blocked seats included, the figure has reached approximately ₹72.6 crore. Overseas markets have contributed more than ₹40 crore, taking the reported worldwide advance booking total beyond ₹100 crore.
Ramayana Receives Strong Response in the US
The film is also attracting attention outside India, particularly in North America. Advance bookings for its paid preview shows in the United States, scheduled for November 4, have reportedly crossed $1.2 million, with more than 51,000 tickets sold.
According to trade reports, over 1.4 lakh tickets have been booked for the November 4-8 period in the US. Preview screenings account for a significant share of the advance sales.
Current trade projections suggest that Ramayana: Part One could earn between $13 million and $14 million during its first five days in North America. Its overseas opening weekend collection is estimated to potentially cross $20 million.
Apart from the US, markets such as the United Kingdom and Australia are also contributing to the film’s international advance bookings.
Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi and Yash Lead the Film
One of the major attractions of Ramayana is its cast. Ranbir Kapoor will be seen as Lord Rama, Sai Pallavi will portray Sita, and Yash will play Ravana.
The film is directed by Nitesh Tiwari and produced by Namit Malhotra. It is planned as a two-part cinematic adaptation of the Indian epic.
The supporting cast includes Sunny Deol, Ravi Dubey, Lara Dutta, Arun Govil, Sheeba Chadha, Rakul Preet Singh, Vivek Oberoi, Kunal Kapoor and Anupam Kher.
The project has been drawing attention since its announcement, with audiences particularly interested in how the makers bring the well-known story and its characters to the big screen.
When Will Ramayana Release in Theatres?
Ramayana: Part One is scheduled for a theatrical release on November 5, 2026, with paid previews planned in selected overseas markets from November 4.
The advance booking response has raised expectations around the film’s opening weekend. However, its box-office performance will ultimately depend on audience reactions and how the film performs after reaching cinemas.
With Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi and Yash coming together for one of India’s most familiar epic stories, Ramayana is set to be one of the major theatrical releases to watch this November.
