Kawasaki India has officially launched the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-4R motorcycle. It will reach Indian shores as a completely built unit (CBU). Priced at Rs 8.49 lakh (ex-showroom), it is currently  the most expensive 400cc motorcycle  in India. Its high-performance engine meets the strict BS6 Stage 2 emission standards. Deliveries of this powerful machine will begin in the first week of October 2023. 

This new addition to the brand’s lineup comes in a sleek metallic black color scheme. In terms of design, the Ninja ZX-4R features sharp and sporty styling with split LED headlights and a tail light inspired by the Ninja ZX-10R. A clear visor adds to the look, while the bike’s side profile features a large hood. 

The new Kawasaki Ninja ZX-4R is powered by a 399cc liquid-cooled 4-stroke engine that produces an impressive 76 PS of power  at 14,500 rpm and 39 Nm of torque at 13,000 rpm. Using compressed air, this power plant can increase power to 79 horsepower at 14,500 rpm. The engine is connected to a 6-speed sliding clutch transmission. 

Built around a sturdy trellis frame, the bike features Showa suspension components, including an inverted fork up front and a preload-adjustable monoshock at the rear. Braking duties are handled by two 290mm discs at the front with radially mounted four-piston callipers and a single 220mm disc at the rear, all complemented by  dual-channel ABS as standard. The Ninja ZX-4R rides on 17-inch wheels with 120/70-R17 (front) and 160/60-R17 (rear) tires. The height of the seat  is 800 mm and the  weight of the bike is 189 kg. 

It has a 4.3-inch  TFT colour display with Bluetooth connectivity . 

On the features front, it has a 4.3-inch colour TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity that enables features like turn directions and push notifications. Drivers can choose between four different driving modes: Sport, Highway, Rain and Adaptive Driving, which enables traction control and power regulation.
