Karan Johar Reviews Drishyam: The Conclusion, Praises Ajay Devgn and Jaideep Ahlawat

Drishyam: The Conclusion has opened in theatres with strong interest from moviegoers, and filmmaker Karan Johar has now shared his reaction to the latest chapter of the popular crime franchise.

After watching the film, Johar took to his Instagram Stories to praise the movie, its director Abhishek Pathak, and the performances of Ajay Devgn and Jaideep Ahlawat.

Karan Johar Calls Drishyam 3 “Mazedaar” and “Lajawaab”

Karan Johar appeared impressed by the film and described it as “mazedaar” and “lajawaab” in his Instagram Story.

He also singled out Ajay Devgn and Jaideep Ahlawat for their performances, calling both actors outstanding. Johar further praised Abhishek Pathak’s direction and congratulated the entire cast and crew.

His reaction comes shortly after the film’s theatrical release on October 2, adding to the attention surrounding the third instalment.

Ajay Devgn Returns as Vijay Salgaonkar

In Drishyam: The Conclusion, Ajay Devgn returns as Vijay Salgaonkar, the character at the centre of the franchise’s suspenseful crime story.

This time, Vijay faces a new challenge in the form of Rajveer Singh Tomar, played by Jaideep Ahlawat. The character brings another layer of tension to Vijay’s efforts to protect his family.

The film also features returning franchise actors Tabu, Shriya Saran, Rajat Kapoor, Ishita Dutta and Mrunal Jadhav, along with Prakash Raj.

Drishyam: The Conclusion Is the Final Chapter

Directed by Abhishek Pathak, the film is presented as the concluding chapter of the Hindi Drishyam franchise.

Unlike the earlier films, the new instalment reportedly follows an original storyline and is not a direct narrative continuation of the Malayalam version.

The franchise has built its popularity around Vijay Salgaonkar’s ability to stay ahead of investigators, with family, crime and suspense forming the core of the story.

Drishyam 3 Box Office Opening

According to early figures reported by Sacnilk, Drishyam 3 earned approximately Rs 66.75 crore net in India on its opening day.

The reported domestic gross stood at around Rs 80.10 crore, while overseas earnings were estimated at approximately Rs 15 crore. This put the reported worldwide opening-day gross at about Rs 95.10 crore.

The movie was reportedly screened across 15,759 shows on its first day, with overall theatrical occupancy of around 67.08%. Morning shows recorded 46.38% occupancy, rising to 70.15% during the afternoon.

With the film now playing in cinemas, audience reactions and its performance over the opening weekend will determine how the final chapter of the franchise progresses at the box office.
