New Delhi, October 21, 2026: The buzz around Ramayana is gaining momentum ahead of its theatrical release, with the Ranbir Kapoor-starrer reportedly collecting ₹5.35 crore in advance bookings across India. Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, the upcoming mythological epic is scheduled to arrive in cinemas on November 5, 2026.
The film has started attracting audiences in major markets, particularly Delhi-NCR and Mumbai. Its advance booking performance has also brought attention to premium cinema ticket prices, with selected IMAX 3D recliner seats in Mumbai listed at ₹2,770.
Ramayana Records Strong Early Ticket Sales
According to box office tracking figures available on October 21, Ramayana had sold approximately 91,125 tickets across 3,542 shows by noon. Its reported advance booking gross stood at ₹5.35 crore.
The Hindi version contributed around ₹5.07 crore, accounting for the largest share of the total. The Kannada version recorded approximately ₹27.11 lakh, while the Telugu version had collected around ₹48,700.
These figures reflect advance sales at the reported cutoff and may change as the release date approaches.
Delhi-NCR Tops Advance Booking Collections
Delhi-NCR is currently leading the city’s advance booking figures for Ramayana, with collections of approximately ₹1.50 crore from 19,607 tickets. Mumbai ranks second, generating around ₹1.08 crore through 15,671 tickets.
Other markets have also contributed to the film’s early ticket sales. Pune recorded approximately ₹29.65 lakh, Ahmedabad collected ₹28.32 lakh, and Kolkata registered around ₹23.65 lakh.
The figures suggest that interest is spread across several major cities, although the film’s final opening will depend on audience demand closer to its theatrical debut.
Select Mumbai Tickets Available for ₹2,770
Moviegoers planning to watch Ramayana in a premium format may have to pay significantly more for selected seats. Recliner tickets for certain IMAX 3D screenings at PVR ICON: Phoenix Palladium in Lower Parel, Mumbai, are listed at ₹2,770.
The prices apply to specific screenings scheduled for November 5 and 6 rather than all shows. Ticket rates may vary by theatre, seating arrangement, screen format and showtime.
The availability of premium screenings gives audiences an option to experience the film in a larger-format theatrical setting, while regular ticket prices will depend on the cinema and location.
Star Cast and Release Plans
Ramayana features Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram, Sai Pallavi as Sita and Yash as Ravana. Sunny Deol plays Hanuman, while Ravi Dubey appears as Lakshman.
The film is planned as a two-part cinematic adaptation of the Indian epic. The first instalment is scheduled for release on November 5, 2026, followed by the second part in 2027.
With advance bookings underway, the film’s opening-day box office collection will be closely watched in the coming weeks. Further ticket sales should provide a clearer indication of its theatrical prospects as the release date draws nearer.
