Vivo X Fold 6 With Flagship Cameras, Massive Battery and Upgraded Foldable Design

Vivo has officially expanded its premium smartphone lineup by launching the Vivo X Fold 6 in China. The company’s latest foldable smartphone arrives with significant improvements in performance, camera technology, battery life, and productivity features, making it one of Vivo’s most advanced foldable devices so far.

Although the phone has only been announced for the Chinese market, its hardware suggests Vivo is aiming to compete with the latest foldable flagships from Samsung, Oppo, and Google.

Bigger Display and More Durable Build

The Vivo X Fold 6 features an 8.02-inch flexible OLED inner display capable of reaching 5,000 nits of peak brightness. Vivo has used Samsung’s latest M14 display material to improve brightness and power efficiency.

The external display is protected by strengthened nanocrystal glass, while the newly engineered hinge is designed to withstand up to 600,000 folding cycles. The foldable also comes with IP58 and IP59 certification, offering better protection against dust and water than previous Vivo foldables.

Dimensity 9500 Super Edition Handles Performance

At the heart of the smartphone is the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 Super Edition, a custom version of MediaTek’s flagship processor. Vivo says the chipset has been fine-tuned for foldable smartphones, delivering smoother multitasking, faster app switching, and improved split-screen performance.

Combined with high RAM and storage options, the device is expected to deliver flagship-level performance for gaming and productivity.

200MP Main Camera Headlines the Imaging Setup

The Vivo X Fold 6 places a major focus on photography. It is equipped with a 200MP primary camera, accompanied by a 50MP ultra-wide lens and a 50MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom.

A standout feature is compatibility with Vivo’s 200mm external telephoto lens accessory, allowing users to achieve 8.3x optical-equivalent zoom and up to 17x lossless magnification for distant subjects.

The smartphone also supports 4K 60fps video recording, Dolby Vision, cinematic filters, and AI-assisted photography features for improved image quality.

One of the Biggest Batteries in a Foldable Phone

Battery life receives a major upgrade with a 7,000mAh silicon-carbon battery, making the X Fold 6 one of the largest-capacity foldable smartphones currently available.

The device supports wireless charging, although Vivo has yet to reveal the official charging speed.

Smarter Software Experience

Vivo has enhanced its multitasking capabilities through an upgraded Origin Workbench interface. Users can open multiple apps simultaneously, customize window layouts, and save frequently used workspace combinations for quicker access.

The software also introduces AI-powered productivity features, including intelligent file categorization, automatic file naming, and smart recommendations for work-related documents.

Vivo X Fold 6 Pricing

The Vivo X Fold 6 is available in several configurations:

  • 12GB + 256GB: 7,999 Yuan (around ₹1.11 lakh)
  • 16GB + 1TB: 10,999 Yuan (around ₹1.53 lakh)
  • 16GB + 1TB Black Gold Edition: 11,299 Yuan (approximately ₹1.57 lakh)

Colours and Market Availability

Customers in China can purchase the foldable in the following colour options:

  • Blue Hole
  • Salt Lake
  • Polar Night
  • Black Gold (exclusive to the highest storage model)

At present, Vivo has not confirmed whether the X Fold 6 will be released in international markets, including India.

Conclusion

The Vivo X Fold 6 combines premium hardware with advanced camera technology, a huge battery, and software features designed for multitasking. If Vivo expands its availability beyond China, the device could become one of the strongest alternatives in the premium foldable smartphone segment.
