Lenovo Legion Y700 Infinite to Launch on August 25 With Flagship Chip and 165Hz OLED Display

Lenovo is set to add a new model to its Legion gaming tablet lineup. The Legion Y700 Infinite will officially launch in China on August 25, 2026. Ahead of the launch, Lenovo has confirmed some of the tablet’s major features, including its display and processor.

The upcoming model appears to be designed for users who want high-end gaming performance without moving to a large tablet.

165Hz OLED Display in a Compact Body

The Legion Y700 Infinite will feature an 8.4-inch OLED screen with a 165Hz refresh rate. The high refresh rate should make scrolling, animations and compatible games feel smoother.

Lenovo has also managed to keep the display bezels very thin. The company has revealed bezels measuring around 2.89mm, giving the tablet a more modern look.

There is a small change in the front design compared with the previous Legion Tab Gen 5. The Y700 Infinite uses a punch-hole camera instead of keeping the front camera outside the main display area.

Overclocked Snapdragon Chip Could Be the Main Highlight

The tablet is expected to deliver serious performance thanks to an overclocked Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 Leading Version.

According to Lenovo’s specifications, the prime CPU cores can reach 4.74GHz, while the GPU can operate at up to 1.3GHz. These clock speeds are higher than those of the regular version of the chipset.

For gaming, this could translate into better sustained performance, faster app loading and improved handling of demanding titles.

Lenovo Reveals 4.58 Million AnTuTu Score

Lenovo has also shared an AnTuTu benchmark result of 4,585,844 points for the Legion Y700 Infinite.

The figure is notably high and places the tablet above the recent reported average results of the RedMagic Astra 2. However, benchmark scores alone do not determine how a device will perform in everyday use.

Thermal management and software optimisation will also play an important role, especially during long gaming sessions.

Battery Details Yet to Be Confirmed

Battery information remains one of the unanswered questions ahead of the launch.

A recent leak suggests that the Legion Y700 Infinite could have a 7,500mAh battery with 68W fast charging. Lenovo has not officially confirmed these specifications yet.

If the leaked figures are accurate, the tablet will have a respectable battery capacity, although some competitors offer larger batteries and faster charging.

Will the Legion Y700 Infinite Launch Globally?

For now, Lenovo has only confirmed the August 25 launch in China. The company has not revealed the tablet’s pricing or complete memory and storage configurations.

More importantly, there is still no official word on whether the Legion Y700 Infinite will be released in international markets.

Lenovo is expected to reveal more information during the launch, including the final price, RAM and storage options, cameras and complete battery specifications.

What Makes the Legion Y700 Infinite Interesting?

The Legion Y700 Infinite combines a relatively compact size with hardware normally associated with flagship smartphones and gaming devices.

Its 8.4-inch 165Hz OLED display, powerful Snapdragon processor and slim bezels make it particularly interesting for mobile gamers who prefer a smaller tablet.

The final price could ultimately determine how competitive it becomes. For now, all eyes are on Lenovo’s August 25 launch event in China.
