Mahindra Thar : Although the Mahindra Thari has only been offered as a 3-door  since its inception in 2010, we already know that the manufacturer is working on a 5-door version of the lifestyle SUV to  increase its practicality and attract more buyers. The test mules of the 5-door Thar are still roaming around the country in camouflage, but each time they reveal one detail or another. Read the report given below to find out the difference between mahindra Thar 5 door and mahindra thar 3 door.

Another 5-door Mahindra Thar test mule was spied during the  test, this time revealing  new LED headlights. The 3-door Thar is offered with halogen lamps, but this test model of the 5-door Thar  is equipped with LED units with ring-shaped DRLs. The design of the alloy wheels also looks slightly different from the 3-door Thar.

The 5-door version of the SUV will likely only be offered as a hardtop, unlike the 3-door iteration, which will also be offered as a convertible. Apparently, the 5-door Thar will  be positioned above the 3-door Thar in the Mahindra range, which is probably the reason why the test mules have been snapped up with several new features compared to the regular Thar. Early prototypes  also revealed additional features such as a new roof, front armrest, sun shades and even an electric sunroof on the 3-door Thar!

However, the 5-door Mahindra Thar that will be unveiled is likely to have the same 2.2-litre diesel (128bhp) and 2.0-litre turbo petrol (150bhp) with both automatic and manual transmissions. In addition, the 5-door version of the SUV is likely to get an optional 4×2 configuration along with the 4×4 model. The 3-door Thar is currently priced between Rs 10.98 lakh and Rs 16.94 lakh (ex-showroom), while the 5-door Thar carries a premium.
