Harmanpreet Kaur, the women’s captain of India, was penalised by the International Cricket Council for her actions during the third and final ODI against Bangladesh. Her match fee has been reduced by 75%, and she has received 3 demerit points added to her record.

After the on-field umpire ruled her out, she struck the stumps with her bat. At the post-game awards event, Harman also spoke out against the umpiring.

After the game, Kaur misbehaved with Bangladeshi captain Nigar Sultana as well. The Women in Blue were unable to match their lowly 226 run goal, and the game was tied.
