Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra : Every leaker will get their two cents on the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra, and there’s still months to go. The latest is Yogesh Brar, who has published a list of key details that support (but also refute) earlier reports about Samsung’s flagship bar.

The Ultra is expected to follow Apple’s lead in using a titanium body. It doesn’t have a big impact on the weight, in fact the new model should be 1g lighter at 233g. Of course, it’s a switch from aluminum to titanium, while the iPhone Pros  lose  weight because they replace heavier stainless steel.

We’ve heard news that Exynos is coming back, but it seems to be a Galaxy S24/S24 thing – the S24 Ultra is expected to exclusively use the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 (presumably an enhanced version for the Galaxy).

The screen will be a 6.8-inch LTPO AMOLED panel with QHD resolution. It can switch to a flat design and is said to be very bright, with a peak brightness of 2,200 nits (compared to  the S23 Ultra’s 1,750 nits). However, the edges are quite thick.

The  rear camera receives significant upgrades, including a new 200-megapixel sensor (HP25X). It’s still 1/1.3-inch, but has improved autofocus and 4-in-1 and 16-in-1 pixel separation. In addition, the 3x telephoto camera gets a new 50-megapixel sensor (1/2.52″, 0.7 µm pixels before combining, the 10-megapixel 1/3.52-inch sensor and 1.12 µm pixels).

The 12-megapixel ultra-wide and 12-megapixel selfie cameras will not be upgraded. The periscope module remains on the 10-megapixel sensor.

It also seems that the  65W charging rumors will not stop and the new Ultra will stick with the old 5000mAh battery with 45W cable charging. Then again, the S24 series won’t be out until next year, so reliable rumors are a few months away.

Leaked Galaxy S24 Ultra specs include a titanium frame, upgraded cameras and a Snapdragon chip

Every leakster is getting their two cents in when it comes to the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra and that is still months away. The latest is Yogesh Brar, who posted a list of key specs that corroborates previous reports on Samsung’s bar phone flagship (but also refute some).

The Ultra is expected to follow Apple’s lead in using a titanium frame. This won’t have a major impact on weight, in fact, the new model is expected to be 1g lighter at 233g. Of course this is a change from aluminium to titanium, while the iPhone Pros will lose some weight since they are changing from heavier stainless steel.

We heard news that Exynos is making a comeback, but that seems to be a Galaxy S24/S24+ thing – the S24 Ultra is expected to exclusively use Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 (presumably the boosted “for Galaxy” version of it).

The display will be a 6.8” LTPO AMOLED panel with QHD+ resolution. It may switch to a flat design and is reported to be super bright with a peak brightness of 2,200 nits (compared to 1,750 nits for the S23 Ultra). The bezels will be kind of chunky, though.

There will be major upgrades to the rear camera, including a new 200MP sensor (HP25X). It will still measure 1/1.3” in size but will feature improved autofocus along with 4-in-1 and 16-in-1 pixel binning. On top of that, the 3x telephoto camera will get a new 50MP sensor (1/2.52”, 0.7µm pixels before binning, up from 10MP 1/3.52” sensor with 1.12µm pixels). The 12MP ultra wide and the 12MP selfie camera are not getting upgraded. The periscope module will stick to its 10MP sensor.

Also, it seems that the rumors of 65W charging will not pan out and the new Ultra will stick with the old 5,000mAh battery with 45W wired charging. Again, the S24 series won’t be out until next year, so reliable rumours are a couple of months out.
